ABOUT ME

Welcome! I’m Carly, licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed alcohol and drug counselor. I specialize in working with trauma, perinatal mental health, and anxiety. Outside of work, I am a mother, wife, sister, and daughter. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and the outdoors (this excludes bugs of any kind, and particularly hot weather, in those instances, I very much do not like the outdoors đ). I am neurodivergent and am continuously working towards growth, understanding, and acceptance of life’s stressors, big and small.Â
How I Work:
In sessions together, I take a collaborative approach that emphasizes conversation and teamwork where you can feel heard, understood, and safe. I also understand that vulnerability fatigue can take a lot out of us as humans, so I find it important to take it one step at a time and will always meet you where you are at. Most importantly, you as the client will always be in the driverâs seat, able to decide how you want each session to go, and I am here to support you in whatever that looks like.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist:
I try to incorporate a healthy amount of humor and authenticity in sessions in effort to make even the most difficult conversations not feel as scary or heavy. It is important for my clients to know that I will meet them where they are at, and dive in whenever and however they feel ready. There are no âshouldsâ or requirements when it comes to what you need to share or how you need to share it. I find that this helps to increase comfort level and decrease the hypervigilance that often comes with trauma histories. It is my goal for you to feel safe and supported, and only then will we begin to explore whatâs troubling you.
